Free ebook Collections
Directory of Open Access Books – A searchable index covering a wide range of academic, peer-reviewed books that have been published under an Open Access license. Includes both English and other language books. Links are provided to the full-text books on publishers’ websites. Dates of coverage vary, current titles are included.
E-Books Directory - Titles in dozens of subjects may be downloaded. Most fiction is older than 1923 but some of the non-fiction is recent. Be careful – the quality of the non-fiction is mixed. “Site map” is useful unless you already know a title or author.
Online Books Page - provides access to over 2 million online books, available to read over the Internet. Search or browse for thousands of online books, by author, title or subject. The site is current and maintained by the University of Pennsylvania Library.
Open Access E-Books – this is a collection of links to ebook sources.
Project Gutenberg - offers over 53,000 free ebooks: choose among free epub books, free kindle books, download them or read them online.
