Searching tips: for a general search, use broad keywords such as ‘sport’, ‘physical education’, ‘anatomy’, etc. Once you find a relevant book, click on the ‘subject’ links in the book record to find similar, related or more narrowly focused books. To find a specific book, author or subject, click on ‘Advanced search’

OPEN TEXTBOOKS
Online and downloadable textbooks available freely from (primarily) North American universities and colleges. As sports & health sciences cross over into a number of general subject areas, it is easiest to search using broad terms such as: ‘sports’, ‘exercise’, ‘nutrition’, ‘anatomy’ etc.

PubMed – Database of the National Library of Medicine comprising more than 35 million citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.
