General
objectives:
Over the years computers have become an integral part of the
office environment. Common activities performed in an organization involve
maintaining documents, analyzing financial data, storing and retrieving
records, and sharing presentations in business meetings. These tasks can be
done quickly and easily by using appropriate tools. These tools enable users to
create, manage, analyze, and share information. Aspiring professionals in any
field need to acquire basic skills of the tools that can help them solve common
problems at work and enhance their productivity. This module enables a student
to use Microsoft Office 2007 software for creating, managing, analyzing, and
sharing information.
Besides getting comfortable in office applications tool, this
module will also familiarize students to Windows Operating system. In addition,
students will learn office productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft
Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.

Students must obtain 40% each in the Continuous assessment of
theory, practical and the semester end examination. The overall pass mark for
